We know we're in good hands with this dentist. He has just done a complicated procedure on my daughter and while I was there for moral support, she actually didn't even need me there! 😅 He has always been so gentle with all of my children, and yet firm when needed, just the way I am with them, myself. I remember one time that he was doing a filling on my youngest daughter, and it was so gentle, she even fell asleep in the chair! 🤣
I would recommend this dentist to anyone who needs a good dentist with years of experience and with great people skills. Even my mom looks forward to going to him. He makes her feel at ease every time. His assistant Janie is also so lovely and it is clear they have a good working relationship because they are at ease with one another and she knows exactly what to do and when to do it.

After years of diligent dental care an incident a few years ago left my … More teeth compromised. The incident compromised many aspects of my life, which I had to prioritize.At the end of 2020 I discovered my previous dentist had immigrated. Aware that the incident that left me with a broken tooth and crown that I recognised was a perfect breeding ground for infection I started researching and asking friends for recommendations. My research and recommendations pointed to Family Dental Practice in Alberton. Despite the fact that I live in Lonehill where there are a number of dental practices, some even in the street in which I live I trusted my research and recommendations and made an appointment to see Dr Estea Pretorius. My interaction with Dr Pretorius and the dental hygienist exceeded every expectation.The x rays and scans taken were described in detail and I had clearly underestimated the impact of the breeding ground. In total 5 crowns/ teeth had been affected, as well as large gum and bone areas.Following the completion of the initial work Dr Glassman took over and after his initial assessment scheduled Jan 19 2021 as "D DAY" to start the repair process which required 5 extractions, significant infection clearing, in gum anti biotic treatment and bone augmentation.During the 4.5 hour appointment, working with Dr Hennie Annandale who has his own practice, I witness teamwork that can only be described as seamless "Poetry in motion". Drs Glassman and Annandale collaborate on complicated cases, with a mm by mm check and balance on tools to use, angle and depth. The process was totally pain free and executed unparalleled expertise and professionalism. The Drs were supported by Dr Glassman's dental nurse who needed no instruction and with her clearly superior knowledge and experience anticipated their every need.Dr Glassman accompanied me back to reception, instructed on next appointments, inquired about my travel arrangements home and asked me to call him today to advise how I was feeling. I woke up pain free and before I could call, I was called by Family Dental Practice to ask if all was well. Five stars does not do justice to this team. Their knowledge, experience, expert execution, competence, care and compassion deserves ten stars and a 12 gun salute. Thank you one and all.
